Why a circle?

No head of the table. No one left at the edge.

We are trying a different shape.

At Synod, we found ourselves talking about the shapes that organize our lives. So much is arranged in lines, squares, and rectangles. We want to make room for a circle: a place where presence matters more than position.

Soft edges, real belonging.

This is a women’s group made for welcome, honesty, imagination, and spiritual growth—not a test to pass or a role to perform.

A beginning, not a box.

For now, Marguerita's is a women’s group. As it grows, it may become a women’s religious order. The form may change; the invitation to come and be held in community remains.

The welcome is plain

Trans women are welcomed and accepted as women.

Marguerita's is a women’s circle. Trans women are women, and they belong in this circle without qualification.

We strive to strengthen our spirituality in order to calm the chaos of our lives.

A rule of life

A direction, not a demand.

Taking vows is voluntary and not required. No one needs to take a vow to participate in Marguerita's, to pray with us, or to find a place in the circle.

The invitation is simple: make room for the spiritual life in whatever way helps you return to your days with more steadiness, courage, and peace.

These spaces are a visual beginning for what Marguerita's might feel like: sometimes still, sometimes gathered, always making room.

We welcome you to Marguerita's place, a place meant for spiritual enlightenment, and hopefully personal growth, a place of community, a place to create, and be creative in a multitude of ways, a place for sharing ideas, a place to share books, articles, and information, a place to offer prayers, a place to privately contemplate, a place for small groups together, or larger groups to come together, all to meditate in many ways.

This can be a place to learn, and a place to study, a place of peace, peace to take back to your home church.
